KROHNE UK flowmeter production continues to increase

KROHNE (UK) Limited, is expanding its Northamptonshire manufacturing facility to accommodate increased sales for its OPTIMASS range of Coriolis mass flowmeters.  The construction of a 1,687 Sq Mt extension, to its existing facility, will help KROHNE to meet increased demand for its products. 


Over recent years the business has enjoyed year on year double digit growth which has been further enhanced by the introduction of the latest product, the OPTIMASS 1000.  Suitable for a wide spread of markets where quantities of material need to be accurately measured the product has exceeded all original production volumes by some 50%.

"OPTIMASS 1000 has introduced KROHNE’s Coriolis mass flowmeter to a wider group of market sectors,” explained Trevor Fawcett, Managing Director, KROHNE.   “It uses the same proven technology we developed for our ‘high end’ process critical applications and in the food industry, for example, it’s proving to be a popular and cost effective solution to accurately control recipes." 

"With over 90% or our UK production destined for the export market, this addition to our facility will enable us to keep pace with the opportunities world-wide and also provide a platform for the next major step in our product development."

KROHNE’s precision measuring instruments demand a high level of technology and control within the manufacturing process.  Currently employing over 100 people the company operates a recognised industry training and certification program to ensure exacting skill standards are maintained.
